◆ One woman, one class, one community at a time.
Here’s how hope rises
The Need
Across Uganda, young mothers are fighting to survive.
Every day, girls as young as 14 become mothers in Uganda. By 18, many have two children, no education, and no way to earn an income. Some are orphaned. Some were abandoned. Others are survivors of trauma and abuse. They are doing everything they can to survive, but the odds are against them.
Without opportunity, these young mothers face:
Extreme poverty
surviving on less than $2 a day.
Educational barriers
60% of teen mothers never return to school.Social isolation
rejected by family and church.Spiritual despair
believing they’ve been forgotten by God.
God has not forgotten them and neither have we.
If nothing changes, another generation of young mothers will be trapped in poverty — raising children without education, without stability, and without hope. But there is a solution — one that’s already changing lives.
◆ Our Model
Hope in Motion
Lift Up Girls restores hope and dignity to Uganda’s young mothers through gospel-centered discipleship and hands-on vocational training.
Restoring
Before training even begins, students receive trauma-informed care along with ongoing mentorship led by Ugandan pastors, teachers, and counselors.
Equipping
Six months of hands-on instruction in tailoring, cooking, weaving, or hairdressing gives each woman the confidence and sustainable skills to support her family.
Multiplying
Women strengthen their families and churches, transforming their communities, coming back to mentor younger mothers to do the same.
We work through local churches so that every transformed woman strengthens her community from within. Women are discovering their worth in Christ and learning they are capable, chosen, and loved.
◆ The Work Doesn’t End
After Graduation
Graduation isn’t the end of the story.
Lift Up Girls continues to walk alongside each graduate through follow-up visits, alumni gatherings, and church-led mentorship.
Many graduates return as teachers, mentors, and small business owners — multiplying hope within their own communities.
The Journey Continues
“I was abandoned with two children and no income. At Lift Up Girls, I learned to sew and pray again. Now, I run my own business and serve in my church.”
Jenifer
Graduate of Lift Up Girls, Uganda

Church-Led – We work through local churches to ensure community ownership and spiritual care.
Holistic – Addressing trauma, faith, and livelihood — body, mind, and spirit.
Sustainable – Every graduate leaves equipped to earn immediately.
Multiplying – Graduates mentor others, expanding hope across Uganda.

◆ Case Study: Kampala Training Center
A Community Transformed
In 2021, the Kampala Center opened with 12 sewing machines and a single classroom. Six months later, every woman graduated — 10 started home businesses, 3 found jobs in local shops, and 2 became assistant teachers at the same center.
The local church reports over 40 new members, most of them women who came through Lift Up Girls. What began as one small class has now transformed an entire community.
Real women. Real hope. Real change.
Every woman’s story begins the same way — hopeless, afraid, and unseen. But after six months of training and discipleship, she leaves confident, skilled, and strong in her faith.
